Day 1 Cochin
Main Attractions:- The oldest Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, St Francis Church and Mattancherry Palace, Marine drive.
Upon arrival in Cochin, get an assisted transfer to the hotel. Cochinis one of the most important city of Kerala which is also known as Kochi. Located on the south-west coast in Kerala which is also known as the Gateway to Kerala, situated on the Arabian Sea. The city was also influenced by British, Dutch, and Portuguese, who has left their indelible marks which is spread over the city through the beautiful architecture, culture and traditions. We can still feel the essence of the cultural diversity.
Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Post lunch, enjoy the boat ride. Later, proceed to visit some major attractions of Cochin such as the oldest Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, St Francis Church and Mattancherry Palace. Stay overnight at the city hotel.
Day 2 Cochin-Kumarakom(By Road-50 Kilometres)
Main Attractions:-Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary where you spot heron, darters, water duck, waterfowl, owl, cuckoo and Siberian cranes.
After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is the one of the most popular tourist destination in Kerala. It is renowned for backwater, located on the Vembanad Lake.The backwater fishing village is indeed a haven, and has had its attractions advertised by some stunning top end resorts by the side of Vembanad Lake.
On arrival, check into the hotel. After freshen up, proceed for sightseeing of Kumarkom, and visit the major attractions along with Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Protected by a thick cluster of mangroves, the bird sanctuary spread across 14 acres and home to over 180 species of birds. It is best to visit on foot by one and half kilometres on walking trek, where you are likely to spot heron, darters, water duck, waterfowl, owl, cuckoo and Siberian cranes. It is one of the most popular tourist attraction of the town.
After sightseeing return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Kumarakom-Alleppey(By Road-35 Kilometres)
Main Attractions: -AmbalapuzhaSree Krishna Temple, St Andrews Church.
After an earlybreakfast, enjoy the luxurious boat ride across the Vemband Lake in a houseboat. Later proceed to visit Alleppey. Alleppey also known as Alappuzha. It is one of the oldest planned city of the Kerala, located about 75 kilometres away from Kochi and about 155 kilometres from Trivandrum. It is one of the popular tourist destination of India. It is famous for backwaters. There are at least six navigable canals in the town. In the east they open to the backwater connecting the city to the mesh of backwater trials, which are abuzz with reinvented kettuvalloms (houseboats). In this fresh and salt water eco system, visitors come to rediscover life lived at a deliciously slow pace.
On reaching at Alleppy, check in at your pre booked resort. After freshen up, proceed to visit some major attractions such asAmbalapuzhaSree Krishna Temple, built between fifteenth and the seventeenth A.D in a typical Kerala style, then visit St Andrews Church, apart from this also enjoy the surroundings of the backwater.
Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 4 Alleppey-Kollam(Quilon)(By Road-95 Kilometres)
Main Attractions: -Houseboat.
After breakfast, board a houseboat and proceed to Quilon, also known as Kollam. It is one of the most beautiful town, located on the bank of Ashtamudi Lake. It was ancient trading town for spices. It is known as cashew processing and coir manufacturing. It is the one of fourth most popular city of the state of Kerala. Ashtamudi Lake is the known as a gateway to the backwaters of Kerala. Kollam can be seen as sandwiched between the Arabian Sea and Ashtamudi Lake.
On arrival, proceed for an excursion to Alumkadavu, the Houseboat jetty. Staying overnight in the houseboat.
Day 5 Kollam (Quilon)-Trivandrum(By Road-65 Kilometres)
Main Attractions:- The City Museum, Shri Chitra Art Gallery and PadmanabhaSwamy Temple.
On the last day of the tour, after having an early breakfast, drive to Trivandrum. On arrival, begin the city excursion covering the prime tourist attractions such as the City Museum, Shri Chitra Art Gallery and PadmanabhaSwamy Temple. Later, get an assisted transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
