Thenmala is a small village located on the foothills of Western Ghats in Kollam district and is famous for its exemplary topography and its wild life. Thenmala is a combination of two Malayalam words “Then” means honey and “Mala” means hill and is called Honey Hill. The honey which is collected from here is believed to have many medicinal properties. Thenmala is spread with a wide evergreen forest and its topography supports variety of flora and fauna with stunning waterfalls.
