Kerala is a land where people prefer to follow their own world and believe in the simplicity and originality. The natives of Kerala are also known as Keralian or Malayali and Malayalam is the main language spoken by them. Keralian are very particular of the customs, traditions and faith in rituals and they can easily go extra miles to conserve the same. Keralian follows a straightforward and healthy lifestyle and this is one of the reasons that Kerala is popular for best physical quality of life in India. Keralian are very particular regarding fitness, sanitation and literacy. Kerala has been regarded as the only Indian state with 100% literacy. Keralian utilizes lot of herbal blends to extract oils and ointments and the state is also known as land of spices.

The simplicity of Kerala can be observed from their attire as they wear very simple clothes. The traditional dress code followed by women is “Set Mundu” like a Saree with bright zari border. Men generally wear white “Mundu” with a plain cotton shirt. In big cities, both men and women generally follow the fashion trends.

The civilization of Kerala is genuinely tangled with the history and customs which makes it one of the most peaceful states of India. This acceptance of diverse enriching traditions has been carried on through the ages and the best example of the same is the 300 year old form of dance which is Kathakali. The amazing dance is performed with beautiful blending of color, music, performance, and lexis. Kerala’s culture is the perfect example of the communal accomplishment of its people in the field of religion, way of life, education, architecture and economic growth.
